Basic Blackjack Counting Strategy

Card counting can help Blackjack players reduce the house advantage greatly. Although most card counting methods are difficult to master, there are simpler card counting techniques you can use to increase your profitability at Blackjack tables. One of the simpler card counting methods is known as cluster counting.

The basic concept behind cluster counting is quite simple. When decks are shuffled, it is only natural that some cards cluster in certain order. You can easily recognize these clusters by observing the plays at Blackjack tables. If you see no high card at a certain round, you can conclude that there will be more high cards on the next round.

Keep in mind that cluster counting is not scientifically proven. You may want to increase your wager after the round with no high card, yet you should always manage your bankroll properly and calculate your every move. There are several known cases where cluster counting had helped players win more in Blackjack tables, and you too can use this simple technique to be in a better advantage against the house.

As with most card counting methods, cluster counting cannot be used in online Blackjack. When you play online Blackjack, the random number generator used replicates shuffling decks at the end of each round, which renders card counting entirely useless. You can still apply this particular technique if you are playing live Blackjack online, with real dealers streamed to your computer or TV set and real card decks and shuffling mechanism used.
